Griever with tail by BenWootten
Griever with tail
Griever

The griever is my spin on the design that Ken Barthelmey, kenbarthelmey.deviantart.com, was working on for the movie. This time with a grabby tail attached.

This was done for the film while it was still in preproduction. The piece has been painted at a ratio of 1:2.35, which wide screen film format.

Right now that I have finished the film I have been on for the last few months and the dust has begun to settle I can catch up on other tasks. Firstly I have finally got to all my comments and answered them, I want to thank everyone for leaving comments it is so great that so many of you do that. I will answer them all, even it it takes a little while, thanks for the patience.

Also a huge thanks to all the b'day wishes, much appreciated, and agin sorry for the slow response to them.

Now that I have done my house keeping I am free to post a few more pieces, made a deal with myself not to post anymore art until I was up to date with the comments etc. So firstly I will post a couple of pieces of art I did for Maze Runner back when they were still in preproduction, and needed some art to help visualise the pitch to get the show free lit, or something like that.
BalrogThe Battle of the Peak by BenWootten
BalrogThe Battle of the Peak
This my latest piece for the Weta NZ art print range, it has just gone on sale on their web site. It was a great thrill to get to paint this piece, to revisit this character after all this time, it seems so long ago that I was working with John Howe, to design this guy for the films and then sculpting the first collectible of him for the Weta range of figurines.
