Another Bulette by BenWootten Another Bulette by BenWootten
This is my take on a classic, the Bulette, this time for PAizo. For some wierd reason, one of my favs from the original AD&D.

This has to be my favorite interpretation of the bulette by far.  This would be a terrifying sight to see emerging out from the ground in front of you.

A word-joke you need to understand german for.
A Bulette (may, or not) refer to one of two things.
First, it could be that you are female and french, and your parents really, really hate you.
The second, and to whom I refer, may be translated to a burger, we just do them a little bit different here. Greasy and with a lot of differencies, like using extra flour, or extra pepper, or extra onions, or extra bread.
Usually they just sponge up a lot of fat.
And that's "hard to stomach", like this "Bulette" up there.

This is an excellent take on the creature. It actually looks lethal and dangerous rather than ridiculous.

Bulette's are pretty awesome, especially for a less magical type creature... And so long as you have a lot of food, and are a elf you're relatively safe around them! One of the druid players in a game of mine got one of these as their animal companion, it made some things... interesting.

I love these guys, I have ever since the first Monster Manual, don't know why but they really appeal to me. it was awesome to get to illustrate them for both Pathfinder and D&D, exciting:)

Really, that is cool, I used to have the one that the rust monster was based on when I was a kid. Do you have any photos of it? I would love to see that.

I love these dudes, I don't know why the AD&D Monster Manual drawing does not inspire great fear. It was great to get to draw the new millenium versoin of the buger patty.

!?!!?!?!?!? Oh dear,
in a recent D&D session me and my party were walking along when we saw a large brown shark fin bobbing up and down out of the ground... i told everyone to run but one idiot genasi used Earthshock and made us all fall into the tunnel. I'm not sure how but somehow we avoided Fighting a battlecrazed bulette. Never the less all of the characters were q
