Aye, that be a dwaarf right enough, he be stern, and fierce and ready to turn some skeletal undead arse :giggle: I can't help it, any dwarven cleric will forever remind me of Durkon. This is spectacularly amazing however, and I agree, dwarves will never be classically good looking, so if you exaggerate the asymmetry and make them hairy and weathered, you have a dwarf! Your ability to detail and paint armor awes me in the classical sense.

Thanks again, I like dwarves, I actually think this guy could have done a bit more roughness to his features, bigger nose ( slightly) and tougher skin, but make be he has had a soft life until now. His chance to get tough and do the job.

Eh? He's not tough already? 0_o Wow, then that's one weathered looking non tough dwarf. Maybe he was a farmer or a sailor up until now or something, anything to explain him looking like he could chew nails and not be tough enough :giggle:
You could always save the ideas for the next dwarf picture you paint. Practice painting that essence of dwarf :D

Soft for a dwarf, you know chewing rocks, black smithing with your bare hands, that kind of soft.

maybe more contrast at the background.. looks little bit flat

and his head too.. i think it's becauser there are no yellowbrown reflections on the left edge of the helmet

know what i mean?

The BG is largely hidden under text and graphics so I left it very flat so any shapes showing didn't distract from the face.
