Disturber of the Peaceby *BenWootten

I was stoked to get the opportunity to relive some of my time on Lord of the Rings recently. I was asked to do this painting of Hobbiton, so while I am not working on the new film I did get to revisit the beautiful tranquil setting.

This is available as a print from Weta NZ, both in the shop (The Weta Cave) in Wellington and online through the Weta NZ site so please check it out. There is also an interview with myself to be found there as well as many other cool treats.

I really hope this painting captures the feel and nostalgia for you as it did you me as I painted it.

It gives a similar feeling to the one I get when in the middle of winter I dream of warm summer (well, the other way around in my case actually, but it didn't fit). It's beautiful and has a really wonderful, peaceful atmosphere to it
