Lol, we had the same situation in our RPG group, only it was orcs abducting our healer 'What Teig saying about this?' 'Teig says nothing.' half an hour later. 'Ow this hurts. Teig, can you take a look at this?' 'Teig isn't here.' WHAHHHAAAAA!
And this is a great picture. Love the details on the duegar armor. Keep up the good work.
Your work is brilliant! I was hunting for a good pic of Duergar and finally after half a days searching i found this! Duergar's never really interested me more than a random encounter until i made and NPC one for my campaigne! Love this pic....
That works for me, I kind of like the fact that your eye goes to the light source first and then to the action in the foreground next, helps you get the feeling that the other characters have missed what is going on as well.
It's pretty old, meaning there's not much lore on it in 4th edition D&D, etc. Duergar according to the Forgotten Realms wiki entry are also naturally infused with a bit of demonic blood so everything fits pretty well with canon(just nothing recent). I am pretty sure I sent you the link to Ammarindar on the Wizards of the Coast site, but here's the FR wiki entry(I am the one currently doing the unofficial stuff in NwN2).
I figured since you're like the only person I have seen that drew duergars, you might be interested in "The Speaker".
