Nice work on getting the transparency of the crystal down. I did a piece recently with a lot of crystal and that stuff is hard to do right!

Thansk, plum tones and blue/greens are great together.

Beautiful, I'll sure use this to lure our party's ranger to multiclass as a seeker :)

Anyway, it'd be nice to know some background, how the image was commissioned, and how this very picture came into being~

Not much to say, I got a brief from Wotc describing a bit about her class, the setting and a description.I did some roughs and the rest is history, not much of a back story here I am afraid.

And here I am, thinking how thrilling it must be to work for something as huge as D&D ^^;

Don't get me wrong the work is great and challenging, I love it. But unfortunately I am not involveed in the cool backstory part of the proceedings. I only get as much info as I need to get the illo looking right and working for the book, I don't get to know what the adventure is about or what the new rule book/character class does. But I do really enjoy my work and try to injevt as much as I can into each piece I do.

You sure do.)
I was just imagining that the game designers and artists influenced each other more. Like your art brings the designers to add some features or reconsider others that they seem cool, but don't look the part in a picture.

Well, I'm gonna stop pestering you now and bounce off to my dreamworld, I guess. Am looking forward to meeting your artworks in future manuals :)

Pester away, I will be slow in answering at times, but I usually get there.

This character is not a unique (named) character in the Player's Handbook 3, therefore no background to give for inspiration. Page 159 of the handbook
