Monte Casino WW2 Campaign Map by BenWootten Monte Casino WW2 Campaign Map by BenWootten
Something a little different, another vista but without the peace and tranquilty of the last piece, but clear skies so I guess that's somethiing.

It is a combination of map and illustration, so while it shows the key features of the landscape and positions of the battlements it is a bit stylised and not all of the detail is to scale with the land forms.

This a campaign map for a source released by Battlefront Miniatures, a WW2 15mm gaming system and minis range.

Thanks, it was great fun to do this, great departure from fantasy. Worked with the guys at Battlefront to get the key elements of the campaign accurate but still on a stylised map for the game.

It added a lot to Battlefront's book Cassino. I hope to enjoy your work in additional Battlefront publications. Do you also do work for Osprey publishing?

Huge thanks, I really enjoyed doing this piece. I haven't worked for Osprey, but they only hire traditional artists and I work digitally, so I have never approached them about work.

Wow! I absolutely love those craters and how the river floods the banks. Too bad I can't afford any new games...
Hope you'll illustrate Magic: the Gathering someday.)

This looks incredibly good and it would be what a strategist would see if he would have a high vantage point over the region.
